FIDUCIARY/GUARDIANSHIP, CONSERVATORSHIP, & POWERS OF ATTORNEY
The Fiduciary Education Committee is a cooperative effort of the Pikes Peak Elder Justice Center and the Pikes Peak Elder Abuse Coalition.
Our goal is to provide quality education for both professional and non-professional fiduciaries. The term fiduciary covers a wide range of roles:
- Powers of Attorney
​- Conservators
- Medical Proxies
- Guardians
Whether you are a professional conservator or a guardian for your family member or just serving as a friend's power of attorney, our organization is dedicated to providing you the resources and training to perform to the best of your ability.
Guardianship, Conservatorship, and POA Training for Non-Professionals
Join us for a free and informative one-day training session located at The ARC in Colorado Springs. This training is intended to provide introductory information related to serving as a non-professional guardian, conservator, or power of attorney for family, friends and loved ones. Training topics include Alternatives to Guardianship, Mandatory Reporting, Decision-Making, Guardianship & Conservatorship 101, Capacity, Ward's Rights, and Required Pleadings. You can expect to learn from professionals in the field including an officer for Colorado Springs Police Department, a professional guardian and conservator, a psychiatrist, and a local civil attorney.
A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.

The trainings will be at The Arc Pikes Peak Region offices (10 N. Meade Ave.) from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. Parking is available behind the building.
